How to make: Chocolate Chip Cookies

Who doesn’t love cookies? They come in all shapes, sizes and flavours! This recipe is for giant milk chocolate chip plain cookies! Although, they are far from plain! They’re crunchy on the outside yet squidgy in the middle!

Ingredients:

100g milk chocolate chips
125g unsalted butter
100g granulated sugar
75g soft light brown sugar
1 egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
150g plain flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 190 degrees Celsius
  2. Line baking sheets with grease proof paper
  3. Melt butter in a saucepan
  4. Mix together the two types of sugar in a large bowl and then pour the melted butter on top and mix
  5. Add the egg and the vanilla extract
  6. Add the sifted flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt
  7. Add the chocolate chips
  8. Dot heaped tablespoons of mixture on the trays
  9. Bake for 8-10 minutes

Why not try white chocolate chips instead? Or even dark chocolate if you prefer? Or even perhaps a mixture? Try a cookie hot out the oven where the chocolate is slightly melted! But be careful not to burn your tongue!
